Leatherette

    By Decade Lucky!

I should've done this Illustrated Ensemble right when Lucky came out a few days ago, not to lose the exciting moment, but work and multiple projects has got me walking around like a zombie. So crazy to see myself in the mag when I don't post many pictures of myself on the blog, nonetheless to the highest degree of wearing the most head to toe tight leather that I have ever worn in my life. I guess it's go big or go home, right? In my normal, everyday life I like to keep leather as separates though eventually aquiring the perfect leather dress is something I've got my eye out for.

Like every girl in the city, I have some trusty leather jackets as my everyday layer, right now the one I've been wearing the most is a sepia brown lambskin 3.1 Phillip Lim motorcycle jacket. I love that it is not black and that it's got more of a classic 50's vibe to it than punk. As far as leather jackets go, 3.1 makes the best as far as quality, fit, selection (there is a new style every season) and most importantly price. I dream of owning a Rick Owens some day, but for now I am perfectly happy with my small collection of 3.1 leather pieces - and I'm not going to lie, because I get an insanely sweet discount on it, c'est la vie!
