Green is the color
A couple of Garden Illustration projects have got me back into the gardening spirit and in serious effort as I've made it part of my morning routine, watching all of our plants grow taller by the day.
My humble little beginner’s city garden on our back patio has hot pink California Poppies, a Jade Tree in an old moss stained pot and a smattering of herbs that we’ve been cooking with: mint, sage, thyme, basil, rosemary, sweet peas, cilantro, parsley.
Today I planted some little succulents, trying to channel being in a New Mexico desert wearing
my favorite Isabel Marant Yuli Scarf and and some vintage silver geometric earrings:
Having any sized outdoor space to call your own in the city is a real treat, so fiddling around with this pocket sized garden area has become my personal pet project. I picked up some fabric from Mood to re-upholster the chairs outside, more plants are on the way and I'm looking for some cool glass terrariums for the succulents to live in. For now this cute little cactus family lives on the sill of the window over my drawing desk. Been drawing with patio door open and Rocky sunning outside, I think he really likes it too.
