So true story, the evening I was really getting into the grit of this project a crazy loud lightning storm started brewing, while I was listening to what's usually my cold weather music fare. As it really struck down, "Black Sabbath" on Black Sabbath's album Black Sabbath was on queue - I must have channeled some sort of portal that brought me back to my very early teenage years of angsty NIN (with the practiced backwards N) symbols drawn on blue canvas binders, fingerless Misfits skeleton hand gloves and reading the book Weetzie Bat religiously, with a particular affinity for the offshoot stories about Witch Baby.
Here's the result of all of those forces coming together, this moodboard I posted awhile back and so many ideas swimming in my head. I wanted to get this right as it was a chance to work with one of my favorite Photographers, Hugh Lippe.
Prior to this shoot as a fan I had collected a desktop inspiration folder full of his photographs, which are just amazing, so it was a real honor to be able to draw on top of these. It was such a fun collaboration, thanks to Hugh and Emily at Stylecaster for having me a part of this project!
