Started the week off on a beauty note and will end on one,

as you can see from my bathroom and my vanity desk above

I'm kind of obsessed with beauty products!

I've been trying out all kinds and have finally nailed down a routine,

seeing really great results. All of these products are so heavenly

that it makes me look forward to washing my face or taking a bath.

My favorites:

Make-up RemoverCaudalie Gentle Cleanser / This is labeled as a cleanser but I like to to use it as a makeup remover for the eyes and face, which I do before washing my face because it just assures all of that city dirt is gone. It goes on like a lotion and you just wipe away everything with a soft cotton pad. I used to use Kiehls Eye Makeup Remover, which has the same texture but I like that you can use this for all over the face.

Face CleanserEve Lom Face Cleanser / Jurlique Balancing Foaming Cleanser / The Eve Lom Cleanser I do once a week at night because it feels like having a mini facial at home. The cleanser goes on super thick like a mask for your face, which you let sit while you alternate hot and cool compressess with the muslin cloth that it comes with. Then you scrub everything off with the cloth and your skin feels so amazing afterwards. Regularly I use the Jurlique Cleanser, this is the best cleanser I've used because it's just so simple - its light, lathers to a nice foam and smells so good.

TonerDr. Brandt Intensolution / Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence / I like the potency of the Dr. Brandt Intensolution and it doesn't contain any alcohol. It keeps the breakouts at bay since all of the other products I use are so gentle and all natural, like Tata Harper. Tata Harper makes these gorgeous 100% natural face products that are all grown on her farm in Vermont or sourced from the best parts of the world. Everything is made in small batches on her farm. The Hydrating Floral Essence is my favorite because it lightly hydrates the skin with all natural oils and smells s0 amazing. In the summer I like to keep it in my refrigerator and it's perfect to use after the Eve Lom Cleanser, just leave it as that.

Moisturizer: Elemental Herbology Moisture Milk / Aesop Primrose Facial Hydrating Cream / For daytime I love the Elemental Herbology Moisturizer because it goes on super light and makes your skin matte. At night I like a thicker cream and Aesop makes the best moisturizers - nice and rich but absorbs really fast.

Face Scrub and Eye Cream: Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste / NARS Nourishing Eye Cream / The Aesop Scrub has fine rose quartz so it feels like a smooth scrub and not harsh at all. (Bonus points, Aesop just opened a cute store here in the city on Elizabeth Street). The Nars eyecream is soothing and light, this too I like to keep in my fridge so I when I put it on its even more refreshing.

Body Products: Côté Bastide Vetiver SoapKiehls Coriander Liquid Body Cleanser / John Masters Organics Body Milk / Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub / Love the smell of Vetiver or Coriander, it's not too frilly and smells like a boy (I've been using Andrew's Old Spice Deodorant too). The John Masters Organics Body Milk is the best lotion because you don't have to spend too much time working it into your skin you kind of just splash it on. Can't say enough great things about Aesop...

Scents: Byredo Accord Oud / Byredo Gypsy Water / Also can't say enough about these perfumes.

And then there's Hair and Makeup... which is a whole other story!

For Fall I stocked up on a bottle of Chanel's Peridot, Particuler Nailpolish

and some nude lipstick since I've been wearing Eyeliner (Dior Style Liner is tops)

more often lately instead of bright lipstick.

I will say that a bottle of fresh nailpolish or a new lipstick

is the best little present you can give to yourself.
