Between a bunch of simultaneous projects over the past couple of weeks and gearing up for a big campaign that starts this week I admit my attention span for the shows this season hasn't all been there. I do like the glimpses I'm catching from London Fashion Week via Style.com and I'm sure the Milan/Paris Shows will be like a much needed breath of fresh inspirational air, bring me back to attention.
What I do check regularly is the T Magazine blog, especially for their Photos of The Moment feature. I'm particularly enamored with Kasia Bobula's photo diarys in the feature - all of the above photos are by her.
With the models waiting in the wings, it's almost like a glimpse of how the clothes would act in real life - slouchy and themselves. Off guard, rather than on the runway. Surrounded by that palpable energy of all those whose livelihood is in that collection, just before it's exposed. Makes me want to be there. Sometimes you get a better idea of what the show was about just in those few backstage photos, like a bit of a mystery, it makes me want to see more.
