Birthdays Are For
At Table on Ten in upstate New York…
For my birthday, Andrew took me to Table on Ten, a remodeled 1860's house that serves as a communal café and a cute place to stay. The best part about this place is the location, it’s in the middle of the most picturesque part of the Catskills with miles of tall forested mountains, wild apple trees, dirt roads and low farmland all around. Everything served at Table on Ten comes from all of the nearby farms, dairies and producers (most of which have honesty boxes nearby where you can pick up produce on the way home. The shop/restaurant Hasbeen and Willbees is also close).
We drove up on a Friday, caught one of their Pizza nights and after dinner went upstairs to sleep in an attic with the most beautiful ceiling. The next morning is waking up to breakfast cooking downstairs. We sat in the café just drinking coffee and reading for a few hours, it was so nice that I didn’t even realize how much time had passed by.
