Travel Notes: Shopping in Saint-Tropez
Saint-Tropez is the place to do a little super shopping…
The best holidays for me are the ones that don’t focus on just visiting shops, since there are so many here in the city. Our road trip was free from shopping until we reached Saint-Tropez.
Can’t blame a girl, Saint-Tropez has it all and shopping was actually worth a go since we happened to be there during sale season. Which meant a large rack of coveted lingerie and swimwear marked 50% off at Eres, which would be a rare sight in New York. It was also a good excuse to take advantage of European pricing and a VAT tax refund at Hermès with a pale gray Marwari print silk scarf.
For classic sandales tropeziennes, this is the birthplace of Rondini and K.Jacques. But it was the soft shearling lined leather espradrilles sitting in the window of L’Espadrille Tropezienne that caught our eye. Also on half off sale, I took a pair home in gray and my only regret was not getting another pair. A great find, the owner told us that the shoes will soon be sold in New York at Kirna Zabete.
