Beauty Review: May Lindstrom
When I found out I was pregnant seven months ago and had to switch to absolute all-natural products, it was a good excuse to finally indulge. I had been wanting to try May Lindstrom’s beautiful products for the longest time. This skincare line is green beauty at its finest- sustainably sourced, organic, free of any parabens, phthalates and silicone.
May Lindstrom stands out amongst the crowd of natural beauty brands with a pared down selection that presents something beyond the typical offering of essential oil blends. In the past, I’ve found that my face does not do so well with pure oils and actually does better with more clinical products. May Lindstrom made me a convert, her particular ingredient combinations magically work with my skin. I also love how the line feels more like a luxury beauty product, with unique textures that feel indulgent and polished.
It was really easy to fall into the ritual that the brand suggests for each product because I look forward to ending my day with something stress-relieving. I use the Clean Dirt, every other night. This powdered exfoliating cleanser transforms into a soft consistency with just a few drops of water. On Sundays, I love putting on the Honey Mud Gentle Cleansing Silk as a mask. It has a pudding-like composition that contains two on my favorite mask ingredients, raw honey and clay. For both of these products, I use the Facial Treatment Brush to get the most out of the product and make sure it isn’t wasted.
Though it is on the pricey side, the products are minimally packaged in generously size glass bottles that last a long time. I’m still on my first round of products that I purchased early in the summer. This winter I plan on treating myself to the Blue Cocoon balm and exploring more products from May Lindstrom even after the baby arrives.
